My friend and I went on a horse riding tour for 10 days. She actually sat on a horse for the first time here. She liked everything, the only bad thing was that they didn’t really explain how to sit and control the horse, but we all helped her.
What I liked: the attitude of the staff (special thanks to the administrator Elya), homemade food (special thanks to the cook Tamara), good and hardy horses (though not all of them are Karachay breeds), the beauty of the mountains, interesting radial routes.
The base is large, there are beautiful waterfalls, there is a zipline, you can swing over the abyss, you can climb steep mountains. A lot of people come, there are several cafes, if you want to eat something extra - no problem, but only in cash. I highly recommend trying the black lamb kebab, it’s really amazing. And everyone in the area recommends barbecue at Honey Falls.
Near the exit of the base there are shopping arcades - you can buy souvenirs, sweets, skins, and honey for friends and family.
Cons: the main disadvantage is non-compliance with the program and disorganization in time. The stable lives a separate life. There were no picnics in nature, as written in the program. The long trek to Bermamyt and the village of Musht took us 13 hours instead of the 7-8 stated in the program (the route was 64 km). They arrived at night, tired. We were accommodated in multi-person houses. There is a shower and toilet on site. The food was excellent. And at the same time, the very next day there was a return to Honey Falls. It’s good that my friend didn’t go, since a group of 6 practically novices went with us - they just fell at the end of the hike and wiped out and stuffed themselves with everything they could. This group and I (after such a load and a night of not seeing anything, I was a little dizzy and had a headache) returned by car. Those who rode on horses arrived at the base after 9 hours, and this provided that they were moving very actively. Those. This route, in principle, is not designed for beginners, but the program says that it is for any level! Therefore, decide in advance whether you will go or not, assess your strength realistically.
Another small minus is that there is only 1 socket in the room, so take a power strip or extension cord with you.
Otherwise, everything is fine. On a free day, we went on an excursion to Elbrus (contacts of good guides were given at the base).
