I went on the “Weekend in the Saddle” tour for the November holidays.
The choice turned out to be successful. It is still quite warm in this region at the beginning of November. The transfer from the airport is long. But justified, since the hotel is literally in the mountains. It's new, the rooms are immaculate and they have a large room with a view and, for the summer, a balcony with mountain views. But I would advise leaving the Moscow show-offs at home, like I have to change towels every half day, or why there is no fly repeller. Everything is simple here, but any requests are fulfilled immediately. The hotel has a very good cafe, where they treated my food with understanding and did everything as I asked. And the coffee there is simply amazing, just like in Moscow. There is a large area around the hotel, but there is probably nothing to do there without visiting the stables.
At the stables there is an individual approach. Since I was alone, the instructor clarified my level and said that there was no point in walking at a quiet pace. My level was normal, but I couldn’t do a lot of things, because... usually on tourist trips - full service. They give you a reason and put you on a horse, and this is wrong. They teach you here so you can do everything yourself. The horses are not tourist horses. They love to trot and are always ready to gallop. At first it scared me, but now I definitely don’t want to go on a tour where you can only walk. We can say that my new level in equestrian training began with this stable.
The nature is fantastic. There are magnificent views from the mountains. Herds graze all around. Since I was alone, we visited ordinary people in the pastures, drank coffee, and I saw how they lived. This was the best part of the trip.
I will definitely come back here. But I won’t ask you to “slow down” and they are afraid of the magnificent Circassian horses. They are smart and feel people. If you earn his respect (the horse, that is)))), then he will serve you. In general, this is a friendly region, with friendly people.
