TOUR ITINERARY
08:19 Arrival at Sortavala from Moscow by train #160 (departure a day before at 16:50).
Breakfast at the cafe.
City tour in Sortavala, that is proud of it's rich history.
11:00 Departure by a speedboat Meteor to Valaam Island (45 minutes).
11:45 Individual excursion with visit of monastery and transfer to the local farm where you'll have a chance to taste locally produced delicacies.
From the farm you'll have a walk along the rarely visited part of the island,
You'll go through wonderful pine forests along silent Igumenskie Lakes and Konevskiy Skete. Guide will tell you about the history and nature of Valaam.
Lunch in the monastery refectory.
You'll observe the most famous Valaam's sketes and then continue exploring the secluded parts of the island.
17:00 Returning to Sortavala by high-speed motor ship.
17:45 Transfer by car to a country hotel on the shore of the picturesque bay of Lake Ladoga (about 40 min).

Hiking to the Impiniemi cape (10–12 km, 5–6 hours, including picnic in woods).
2-hour speedboat trip in a maze of Ladoga islands and straits (in a small combined group up to 10 persons, but accompanied by your personal guide, with stops for walking).

10:00 Meeting by driver at the pier. Transfer to the hotel (it's possible to leave your luggage in the luggage room, check-in – after excursions).
